Day 161 – Rock’n’Roll through the lenses. Today was a fun day, I went on a photo shoot, not as a photographer but as a model (stop laughing!) ok more of a subject matter! I went with Photography Monthly magazine to re-enact an Oasis iconic photograph. So we headed up to Manchester to be […]

Day 160 – Poppy Close-up. On day 158 (click here) I took a photo of this flower with an iPhone with a macro lens on, this is what it looks just a little bit further away, go look at what it looks like close up, it’s very different!

Day 159 – Smoking weed. I Love experimental photography, it’s great fun playing around until you get what you want. Now, I can’t take full credit for the idea behind this picture as my wife saw this and recommended I tried it, so that’s what i did. These thing flare up so quickly, even […]

Day 158 – Macro in the middle. Today was a nice sunny day and I fancied trying out a mini lens I had for the iPhone rather than breaking out the big boy. The attachment is a two in one, a wide angle and a macro lens, the just screw apart. It doesn’t take […]

Day 157 – Parking for Barking. Today I visited the lovely village of Winchcombe, a typical Cotswolds village but with so many cool boutique shops, this very stylish store had a parking spot for dogs, a water bowl and even offered you dog treat when you bought something! Now that is service, so if […]

Day 156 – Iconic wheels Today I had the privilege to photograph two original 1960’s Fiat 500’s for Photography Monthly magazine (look out for the feature in the July issue). One has suicide doors and a red canvas roof and the other a little more sporty with the chrome wire wheels. Ever since the […]

Day 155 – Hugo Love The sun was shining and I wanted to have a second attempt at photographing Hugo in the lovely basket I bought for him to pose in. As it was bright outside I wanted to make the most of the natural light, I’m not quite there yet but this was […]

Day 154 – Tears… I guess my little boy just isn’t ready for model stardom just yet. This little chap is wiser than I thought, all I get when the camera come out is tears, maybe it’s for quiet time, I hope this wears off soon otherwise I will be the one in tears! […]

Day 153 – Tiddler on the Roof. Today we had a call that someone might be interested in buying our little sports cars, well my wife’s actually, but nonetheless it’s due to be test driven tomorrow. I thought it would be a good opportunity to take her for a quick spin and as the […]

Day 152 – Blue eyed Ben. Ok so we are back to baby photos, but this isn’t my child this is a friends and as I do take family photograph (not studio) it would be rude not to stick this lovely picture up of the very cute Ben. He was well behaved and didn’t […]

Day 151 – Gr8 Gordini This gorgeous little Renault 8 Gordini has a special place in my heart, I seem to be recalling lots of childhood memories at the moment, maybe a part of my brain has decided to work again! I have such fond memories of this car and the people attached to […]

Day 150 – Being up staged. It’s all about drum risers… I am fortunate enough to of known the Chip Shop Boys for around 15+ years and have been good friends with them all, I often get to tag along on their gigs in the past it was dj’ing with them and over the […]

Day 149 – Orange light. Not too sure what is happening in this country at the moment, this time last year the weather was pretty warm for UK standards!. The days have been cold and grey and today I saw a huge orange light in the sky, backed with a bright blue background, not […]

Day 148 – Lady and the Tramp. Today I tried out the new Bowens light I have acquired, so the obvious option would of been to photograph a certain baby, but seeing as all I have photograph recently was Hugo, I thought I would change the subject matter. I noticed the dog getting jealous, […]

Day 147 – A cat in pane. I love catching animals looking out of windows, it reminds me as a kid being told to go to bed early, especially  in summers months when the nights were light. I wouldn’t want to go straight to bed (naturally like most children), so I would stare out […]

Day 146 – Necessities. As the day draws to a close, there is an important piece of equipment in our house… the kettle! This life saver is there to make a warm bottle of food to feed our very hungry boy not content with just breast milk. And almost importantly it’s to make a […]

Day 145 – Cry baby. So I managed to last 4 days without posting a baby picture, but Hugo is back, things were going all to well and then the bubble burst, so it’s all tears, but don’t worry my website doesn’t process sound with my photographs!

Day 144 – Eternal love. Two hearts, two rings, one common bond, love and marriage. I was fortunate  enough to spend the following day with the happy couple at a family barbecue, which allowed me to take another picture of the rings.

Day 143 – Centre of attention. Today was a great day shooting the Herbert wedding, located a stone throw away from Dartmoor. This joyous day was held on National Trust grounds of Buckland Abbey. I love taking wedding photographs, it’s a chance to capture so many emotions, mainly happy ones, and of course I […]

Day 142 – The Road is long. Two days and no baby photograph! It’s been a long day at the office and I’ve not had time to get the ideal photograph I would like to post, but hey, the project is one photo a day for 365 days, the point is to take a […]
