Cripps Barn wedding photography – Andrew and Craig

Craig and Andrew

I love photographing weddings, they are such happy occasions, full of the couples love and personality. They are all so unique and different from the previous wedding and the to next, this wedding was no exception. I met this couple after a recommendation from another couple I photographed. From the offset I knew this was going to be a great wedding and couldn’t wait to photograph them, not only that but it was my first same sex marriage. It seemed so very poignant as it took place only a week or so after the government has passed the law for same sex marriages. (Click images to see full size)

Both Craig and Andrew (and Sookie the pug) were creative from the start and they knew exactly what they wanted, so it was always going to be fun and extra special for the couple and for me the photographer. The Stone barn hosted the lovely ceremony sealed with the kiss and cheer before heading out in to the gorgeous surroundings of Cripps Barn, where we were all treated to a little blue skies with fluffy white clouds.

With the photos engraved into megapixels it was time to head in to the newly built section of Cripps Barn, it is a gorgeous addition to the venue full of wood, twinkle light and a photographers favourite, natural light perfect for photos. Inside, the amazing table settings awaited the food, the emotional, heart-felt and funny speeches and the cutting of the beautiful cake that Craig made himself.

With the formalities done it was time for the guests to get their dancing (and drinking) shoes on, ready for the evening to gear up a notch ready for the entertainment. With the band sound checked and ready to crank the mics into action, Craig and Andrew are summoned for the first dance in the ring of excited well wishing guests.

With the day getting ever closer to a beautiful sign-off it was time to finish with a few special light photos in front of the barn and sparklers down by the fire pit. This was great fun for everyone and made some really special photos. It was a magical day and I wish the lovely couple all the happiness in the world.
