Kingscote Barn Wedding Photography – Alexis and Wayne

Kingscote Barn  – Alexis and Wayne

Cotswold wedding photography at Kingscote Barn, Kingscote, Gloucestershire.

Alexis and Wayne were married at the gorgeous Kingscote Barn in Kingscote near Tetbury. As Cotswold wedding photography goes this was a picture perfect wedding for me and more importantly them, the weather was incredible, the couple were gorgeous and super cool, it was an outdoor ceremony, everyone was such fun, we had an amazing sunset and all in beautiful surroundings!

Hair and make-up was done by the talented Jodi Croft of Face Perfect by Jodi and joint owner of the amazing Pamper Rooms in Brockworth, Gloucester ( definitely worth a look!). The day started in a beautiful little cottage in Uley, Jodi was working her magic whilst everyone was getting ready. I started taking photos of all the important things such as the dress and not forgetting all the little details too, that we tend to forget over time. We waited on the stunning flowers by Donna at The Flower Studio which were worth the wait, such amazing colours!  The girls looked amazing and I loved their mint green coloured dresses (don’t shoot me if I have the colour wrong!) which were perfectly complimented by the beautiful flowers wands also created by Donna.

I popped over to Kingscote to see how the guys were getting on at the barn, they were super relaxed as they were adding the finishing touches before heading in to the bridal rooms to get ready themselves. The guys looked awesome and again amazing flowers done by Donna for the button holes, not something I had seen before and totally rocked.

The ceremony was a beautiful one, out on the lawn and under the arbour. It couldn’t of been more perfect with the sun out, the rows of white chairs filled with family and friends and the fantastic views across the farmland/fields. This was such a colourful wedding in more than many ways from start to finish. The I do’s were sealed and it was time to grace the aisle to party time! Kingscote Barn is understandably strict with confetti due to it being a working farm, but what they do allow is lavender, so with guests armed with fists full of lavender they gave Alexis and Wayne a good send off showered in it, they probably smelt of it for days! As everyone soaked up the sun with refreshing drinks we managed a few formal photos and a little later a few more portraits of the happy couple, before having to head in for the wedding breakfast and the nerve wracking speeches, well, depending on where you were sat!

Speeches were as to be expected, sentimental, loving and funny and Wayne took a humorous battering from his best-man but he took it well and again showed nothing was more important than Alexis sat next time him, and she of course was willing to forgive any fashion faux pars, or bloopers revealed from his past.

Now… the secret first dance. A fun choreographed dance by Alexis and Wayne which went down a storm, all with a little help from a friend Claire who helped choreograph it and show her support and encouragement, you may be able to spot her in the photos! Everyone was up on their feet and glued to the dance floor,  it was one of the best I have seen in a long time and everyone was up shouting and cheering! So with the dance done and some fresh air needed we headed back outside to see the sun set on an incredible day. The day was far from over by the way, but a few more photos were definitely worth going out for. The barn is in a bit of a bowl so to get the best results you have to head back up the lane where you get some truly magnificent photos amongst the fields and views. We got some incredible shots against the red sky and as the sun disappeared, it was time to let the fab couple get back inside to let their hair down and enjoy the rest of the evening with family and friends… without a camera! 🙂

It was a sensational day, full of all the right things for a perfect day and I am delighted for Alexis and Wayne, congratulations and big love to you both, I want to wish you the very best for your future together. x
