Abi and Joes’s (and a little red mini’s) wedding day took place at the stunning Holy Trinity Church in Eckington followed by Lapstone Barn in Blockey, Chipping Campden.
Abi and Joe’s wedding day was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and personal touches, beginning with a charming ceremony at Holy Trinity Church in Eckington and culminating in a joyous celebration at Lapstone Barn in Blockley, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.
The couple’s ( I think mainly Joe’s) love for a particular classic car took centre stage with the presence of a 1992 little red Mini Cooper, lovingly restored by Joe and his father, serving as the charming wedding car. Against a backdrop of blush pink, mauve, and ivory hues with accents of greenery, the color scheme set the tone for a day filled with elegance and romance.
The bridal party prepared for the day’s festivities at the quaint Hollocombe Cottage in Eckington, a serene setting just a stone’s throw away from the church. With the expert touch of makeup artist Katy Phieffer and hairstylist Andrea Luella, Abi radiated beauty as she donned her Martina Liana dress from Wedding Bells in Fouroaks.
Steff from Love Flowers worked her magic, crafting stunning floral arrangements that adorned both the church and Lapstone Barn, adding a touch of natural beauty to the surroundings. The wedding stationary, meticulously designed by Daniel Matthews (Joe’s Brother), complemented the theme seamlessly.
After a heartfelt ceremony at Holy Trinity Church, Joe and Abi had a joyous send off as Joe swapped his wedding shoes for his driving and tootled to Lapstone Barn in that little red Mini. The couple made a grand entrance in Lapstone’s courtyard, followed by a shower of confetti in the picturesque grounds overlooked by rolling fields, what a setting! Inside, the barn was transformed into a vision of splendour, with pink and mauve colours and flowers adorning the tables, and not to forget a breathtaking cake table curated by Abi herself.
Following the wedding breakfast, expertly catered by the Lapstone Barn team, heartfelt speeches and photo opportunities abounded, capturing cherished moments against the backdrop of the beautiful settings and, of course, the iconic little red Mini.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the party kicked off with the bride and father dance, followed by Abi and Joe’s first dance to the live rendition of “Slide Away” by Noel Gallagher. The festivities continued late into the evening, with the help of the evening band, The Trip, with the guests dancing the night away and creating memories to last a lifetime.
The day concluded with a few romantic sunset photos in the nearby cornfield, a fitting end to a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments shared between Abi, Joe, and their loved ones.
