Rococo Gardens Wedding Photography

John and Heidi

It’s always a little daunting being asked by another photographer to shoot their wedding, I was delighted  to be asked and thankful John and Heidi from Two Front Teeth Family Portraits don’t shoot weddings, so a little bit of pressure was eased! This was always going to be a special wedding, as are all, but I have known John and Heidi for many years and had a good idea that they would go out to impress, not in an extravagant endless pit of money way, more of a creative and surprise sort of way. This they did!

So early morning after a quick make-up, hair and champagne stop, Heidi finalised her preparations for the day ahead. With her dress on and looking a million dollars it was time to set off in the beautiful white Daimler to the very picturesque Rococo Gardens in Painswick.

The grounds here are a photographers dream and everywhere you look there are beautiful photo opportunities. From the area where the ceremonies are held, the maze, wildflower gardens, the Rococo Arch and pond,  to the sculptures dotted around, the list goes on. It’s perfect for intimate, romantic and fun photographs as well as great spaces for groups shots if required. You can not fail to get great pictures here.

After a glorious day at the Rococo Gardens it was time to crank up the lovely Daimler and head over to the final destination for the day, a beautiful spot in Leckhampton overlooking  Cheltenham. They had a gorgeous marquee with a true vintage style going on with fine bone china table sets and tea cups, cake stands loaded with incredible homemade sandwiches, cakes and fruit. Bunting chased every corner of the marquee with flowers, flowers crates, sweet tables and a second adjoining marquee ready for the live music and a dance floor for the drunken moves. Outside, fire pits, hay bails, pig roast at the ready, allowing everyone to enjoy the open air and glorious summer sunshine.  After speeches, cake cutting it was time to head outside with drinks in hand and watch the surprise turnout of belly dancers. Family and friends were encouraged to camp so they could party into the night. Of course John and Heidi had the Beautiful Bell tent (from the Canvas Cottage Company) with all the luxuries… and why not it’s their wedding and a fantastic way to finish the day under the stars!
