Monkton Barn Wedding Photography

Hannah and Tristan

This wedding was always going to be special with Hannah and Tristan’s taste for a very cool vintage theme.  This was a wedding I was really excited about, for many reasons from the vintage bus, car, to the barn, but I have to start with the church and the getting ready venue in the beautiful village of Amersham. So after an early start heading towards London leaving Cheltenham in my rear view mirror the first stop was the Crown Hotel, a beautiful venue where everyone prepped themselves ready for the big day.

With Champagne bottles popped, hair sprayed, make-up applied and dresses swished the ladies were looking spectacular. The boys donning sharp suits headed to the bar to loosen up with a pre church drink, greet guests, tighten ties and pin button holes. The guys were looking equally dapper and with the clock ticking closer to the ceremony time, the chaps head off. The ladies not far behind all arrived in style, a vintage red London transport bus and the bride in a gorgeous classic Citroen.

The ceremony was held at the very cute and picturesque Roman Catholic Church ‘Our Lady of Perpetual Succourof Chesham Bois’ . With the ‘I do’s’, scribble of signatures and cheers to celebrate the first kiss of Mr and Mrs Ralston it was time to head out in to the sunshine for hugs, kisses, confetti and fill the buses with bottoms. With the seats filled the buses take a short trip down the M40 to the beautiful venue of Monkton Barn in High Wycombe.

Guests dropped off it was time to get a refreshing drink and soak up the sun before the meal and speeches take centre stage, but before the table plans scrutinised there was enough time to grab a few shots and watch a few balls launched at the coconut shy and the skittles in the field opposite the nicely dressed marquee.

Speeches sealed in history,  gratitude paid, the bride and groom mingled, carved the cake ( and i tried the cake, it tasted incredible!) and hit the dance-floor. As with all wedding days, they feel like they travel at the speed of light, but fast or not it was a beautiful day with amazing people and a lovely couple that were made for each other, one i will always remember. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Ralston.
