Day 101 – Heavens above.

The day has finally arrived, it’s my once in a lifetime trip to Sri Lanka, to photograph wildlife (and Sri Lanka itself) for Wild Travel and Photography Monthly magazine. I have to Capture the Blue Whale, the Biggest mammal in the world, to help promote Sri Lanka’s responsibility towards whales and dolphin for their tourism, it’s to feature in both magazines. It’s in aid of Whales and Dolphins Conservation and sponsored by Sri Lankan Airways so quite a big task… so no pressure! This place holds a special place in my heart as this is where I shared 12 days with my wife on our honeymoon, and then with a strict (ish) limit of access to my camera, I now have a pass to go snap happy! The only problem is my non love of flying these days, but as I arrived at the gate, the heavens were telling me this was going to be a great flight, all 11 hours of it! And looking at a sky like that why wouldn’t you want to be up there!
