Cotswold wedding photography at Stone Barn, Upper Windrush, Gloucestershire.

Bryony and Martyn’s wedding day took place at the stunning Church of St. Mary (‘The Ivy Church’), Ampney St Mary, followed by Stone Barn, Cripps & Co, Upper Windrush, Gloucestershire.

Bryony and Martyn’s military wedding was a day filled with love, honour, and tradition, set against the stunning backdrop of the Church of St. Mary, affectionately known as ‘The Ivy Church,’ in Ampney St. Mary, Gloucestershire. The celebration continued at the picturesque Stone Barn, part of the renowned Cripps & Co in Upper Windrush, nestled in the heart of The Cotswolds, on a scorching hot summer’s day.

The day began with separate bridal preparations for Bryony and Martyn, with Bryony getting ready with her family at the Lakes in South Cerney. Assisted by the talented team of May Williams Makeup Artist, Lara Stokes Bridal Hair Specialist, and Chloe’s Salon, Bryony radiated beauty and elegance as she slipped into her Rosa Clara gown from The White Collection in Clevedon, hidden away until the emotional reveal to her father.

Meanwhile, Martyn and his groomsmen ensured that their military uniforms, boots, and swords were impeccable, reflecting the discipline and honor of the British military.

Uley Wedding Cars provided transportation fit for royalty, whisking Bryony and her father to the historic Church of St. Mary in a stunning 1937 Austin Mayfair.

Following a heartfelt ceremony, Bryony’s nephew joyfully rang the church bells as the newlyweds and their guests celebrated with confetti and champagne under the spring sun (felt like a summer’s day!). Before departing for Stone Barn, Bryony paid tribute to her grandmother by laying flowers on her headstone, a poignant moment of remembrance and love.

At Stone Barn, guests indulged in drinks and canapés before capturing cherished memories with photographs. The wedding breakfast was a sumptuous affair, accompanied by heartfelt and humorous speeches that honoured the newlyweds and their journey together.

As the golden hour bathed the fields surrounding the venue in a warm glow, Bryony and Martyn stole away for romantic photos, capturing the magic of their love against the backdrop of the setting sun.

The festivities continued with the cutting of the wedding cake, lovingly made by Martyn’s sister, accompanied by a tower of delectable donuts from Hall’s Bakery.

With ‘She’s Like the Wind’ from Dirty Dancing setting the tone, Bryony and Martyn shared their first dance as husband and wife, surrounded by their loved ones. The evening entertainment, provided by the talented band Jimmy and the Hound Dogs, kept guests dancing late into the night, ensuring that Bryony and Martyn’s military wedding was a celebration to remember for years to come.
