The Matara Centre  – Lauren and Guillaume

Cotswold wedding photography at The Matara Wedding Centre, Kingscote, Gloucestershire.

Lauren and Guillaume’s wedding  took place at the stunning Malmesbury Abbey followed by the reception at The Matara in Bibury.

Lauren and Guillaume’s wedding at the historic Malmesbury Abbey was a beautiful fusion of French and English traditions, set against the backdrop of a sunny summer’s day. The couple’s non-traditional approach infused the celebration with charm and elegance, creating an unforgettable experience for all involved.

The day began with bridal preparations at The Kings Arms Hotel in Malmesbury, setting the stage for the festivities to come. As Lauren and her bridesmaids made their way to the abbey, they were greeted by the Vicar and Guillaume, a heartwarming moment symbolising the union of their two cultures. Together, they walked into the abbey, ready to embark on their journey to marriage.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered outside the abbey for a joyful celebration, showering the newlyweds with confetti and well-wishes. A few portrait photos captured the essence of the historic surroundings before the party continued at the stunning Matara Centre in Kingscote.

At the Matara, guests were treated to fantastic food and the lively tunes of the Big Brunch Band, creating a festive atmosphere in the picturesque gardens. As the sun bathed the lawns, guests enjoyed games of boules, crazy golf, and spontaneous dancing, soaking up the joyous ambiance.

In a departure from tradition, the wedding breakfast was delayed, allowing guests to indulge in delicious cream teas and a sandwich lunch in the serene courtyard surrounding the basin-inspired pond. Speeches were delivered in the stunning main domed room, illuminated by fairy lights, adding a touch of magic to the heartfelt words shared by loved ones.

Amidst the enchanting gardens and outdoor spaces of Matara, Lauren and Guillaume stole a few moments for portrait photographs, capturing the beauty of their love against the backdrop of the listed building and amazing gardens and of course the huge ponds with iconic bridge.

The evening concluded with dancing and revelry in the domed room, where laughter and music filled the air, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Lauren and Guillaume’s journey together. Their non-traditional approach to their wedding day not only celebrated their unique love story but also created cherished memories that would last a lifetime.
